I’m afraid that I’m going to have to bow out of the Dopefest. I feel bad about it, but I can’t afford to go to NYC in August.
Fortunately, one of my best friends is moving up there sometime in the coming six months, so I’ll have free lodging once he gets there. And that’s when I’ll come. I should be able to afford a plane ticket by then.

I found out today that **Verrain** is gonna be there too, and he wants to get in on the early, special mob rate.
That makes twelve or thirteen or something. I’m not quite sure whether **Halford the Human Eel[sup]TM[/sup]** qualifies at his tender age. But the deadline is June 20th, kids! Better make your wishes known if you want to save five bucks.

My situation remains tenous. It appears I will soon be relocating to Orange County so by August I may be living just down the street from the RenFaire. But bizarrely enough my chances of being there look better if I remain here in Western NY. In my current job, I’ll be on vacation that weekend and able to attend even if I have to drive across the state. But if I start my new job, I won’t know whether I’ll be off that day.
Looks like I’ll just have to set aside an extra five dollars and wing it at the last minute.
