# NY RibFest. Any takers?

Now that some semblance of warm weather has come to the Southeastern quadrant of the Empire State, it occurs to me that the NYC-area Dopers should converge on _Casa Dave-Guy_ and eat ribs slathered with my homemade Jack Daniels barbecue sauce and grilled outside on the trusty Weber.
This is all preliminary, but we thought a Sunday in June might work.
Any interest out there?
PS. Dopers living outside the NYC-area are welcome, too, of course, but you need to find your own overnight accommodations, as _Casa Dave-Guy_ is barely large enough for the Family Dave-Guy.

No, near New Jersey, actually. The lovely suburbs of Rockland County. I will have to check to see if buses run out of PABT on Sundays. If they do, that’s actually quite good, as you can have them stop just a short walk from my house.

Go [here](http://http://www.redandtanlines.com/schedule.htm#11T%20-%2011AT) and check out either the 11A or 11C schedule, depending on whether you’d be leaving from the 42nd Street Bus Terminal or the GWB. Buses run on Sundays. It can be done, people.

We’re certainly going to try. I know **Verrain** has been jonsing for your ribs for awhile. And there are few hosts better than you and **Mrs. Dave-Guy**. It will depend partly on the weekend you choose (we may be at Rich’s parents’ celebrating his birthday) and partly on the job/money situation. We’ll keep you posted.

I guess it’s too early to start a list of **definites** and **maybes** and **no way Joses** , but I’ll keep this on the back burner.
I think it should happen, but then, if it doesn’t, I can always make ribs and eat 'em all myself.
And **Gorgon Heap** , even if a RibFest doesn’t happen, you and **Acrylic Vessel** and the **Heaplette** should come down and eat ribs and drink beer and listen to music anyway. Well, no beer for the **Heaplette**. She’s only an infant. You know the way.

DaveGuy, could I persuade you to make your shindig on the last Sunday in June? I’ll be done with school by then and free as a bird. However, I am a vegetarian and don’t eat ribs, but I can bring some stuff for myself. Keep us posted on this.
