Given this much lead time, I am _so_ there. Can anyone offer me a place to crash, if I should drive up alone? (If I bring the wife, we’ll probly find a motel.)
The only weekend that’s out for me would be the last weekend in June, when my in-laws will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.

This is more like it! I was going to suggest the final Sunday of the month, but since His Excellency is otherwise engaged, I hereby proclaim NY RibFest to be either June 15 (Father’s Day) or June 22. Either day is fine, and since I’m a benevolent dictator, and really want **RTFirefly** to attend (and Mrs. Teasdale, too, if possible), I can go with either date. If **Firefly** and the **Heaps** are there, it’s a party.
**TruePisces** , if it doesn’t work out for you and **Verrain** , I’ll understand, and we’ll have to get together another time.
Now…where the heck is **Zappo**??

I broached the subject with Mrs. Teasdale tonight, and I’d say her presence is a possibility.
I agree with **Zappo** that Saturday’s easier on the traveling, since they allow for driving up that morning, and back the next day. But I’m planning on coming, regardless of which day our benevolent dictator chooses. (Since he doesn’t live in Fredonia, I don’t outrank him at Casa Dave-Guy. ;))
Speaking of which, **Why A Duck** , I think you’ve _got_ to be there, just so it can be said that we were both at the same Dopefest. Along those lines, I wonder where **Exapno Mapcase** lives? If he could be present, and since ‘Why a duck?’ is a Chico line, we’d in a sense have Groucho, Chico, Harpo, and Zappo there! Won’t happen, of course, but it’s fun to imagine.

Call the shots? What? I offered to bring my own food, for god’s sake. I’d be going for the company and not for the food anyway. And since a date was not set, I suggested one. Not sure how or why this offends you in any way.

I swear I replied yesterday but it must have not gone through.
As long as kids are invited, the Duhnym family will be attending. I’ll bring baked beans (you need those with BBQ…if you can’t have gas with Dopers, you can’t have gas with anyone!) and some sorta dessert, likely a decadent cake.

You won’t need to bring your own food darlin’…he was just kidding. Veggies are easy to grill and I can easily make a portion of my aunt’s baked beans without bacon.
Hell, I was recently a BAD; I’ve perfected vegan lasagne and can wow your tastebuds w/o dairy! (If you are okay with eggs and cheese though, you’re golden!)

I’m glad no one’s offended, but I really couldn’t tell that Gorgon Heap was just joking. Sometimes you miss tone of voice and all that.

**Sue** , of course kids are invited. I got two of my own (although **Sakura** will be 18 by then – gadzooks!), and the **Heaplette** is just a bitty thing. Yes, bring the kid, by all means.
**Why A Duck** , you must come, absolutely. And bring the Duck family, too. It’ll be fun and it will mean **Zyada** will be there.
**Biggirl, Houseman, Zoltarb and the girl**??!! It’s a friggin’ PARTAAAAAY!
**Euty** , it’s doable. I’m telling you, it’s doable.
**Cosmo** , that would be incredibly neat-o! I’d love to see you again! Don’t know how wheelchair-accessible I can make the place, but I think we’ll find ways to manage.

Priceless. Absolutely priceless. Now if only we could have a Thelma Todd stand-in…yum!
I’m thinking of changing this to a Saturday, because of traveling concerns. If the 14th works, let’s do it then. I have to work both the second and third Saturdays of the month, but the second Saturday is a lighter work load, and I could get away with quitting early. If pressed, I could finagle my schedule around on the third Saturday…But unless pressed, let’s keep it for the 14th.
