NY Times supports Trump! isn't this a little bit ,umm, ..hypocritical?

Just for comparison, the rejected rates in Oregon, Washington, and Colorado, which are all-vote-by-mail states, is under 1%.

Signature issues that are identified early enough can be corrected so the ballot can be counted.

And Oregon has been identified as the easiest state to vote in. Cite.

Quiet, you. The OP will lose his grip on that straw he’s grasping.

Even if there were some problems with mail-in voting, it’s certainly possible that the NY Times changed its tune because of the pandemic.

For example, I wouldn’t normally run across a shooting range, between the shooters and the targets. However, if a bear was chasing me and that was the only way to go, I’d probably do that. Given the massive issues with voting during a pandemic (and the inevitable resurgence of COVID) and the tricks that red state governments are doing (removing early voting, removing voting locations and machines), mail-in votes might be the lesser of evils.

Eh, I don’t know that chappachula is grasping at straws, really. A question is asked in the OP, and it seems innocent enough.

Tagging an eight-year old OpEd article as hypocritical struck me that way. :man_shrugging:

Sure. Chap seems to have fallen silent on the issue, so who knows?

Gee, did something happen? What could cause anyone to change their opinion on mail-in voting?

Is this thread meant as a joke?
