The highest the interest can legally get is 8.5% on Federal loans and currently it’s lower than that; I pay just over $100 per month for the $20,000 I borrowed my last few years, and in some SLIS programs it only takes a year. Put some stuff in storage, sublet your apartment and take a dorm if you have to, but you’ll never regret the MLS as a fallback. ---

Seriously, education and houses are the two things worth going into debt for as they will provide more wealth/income than they detract.
