# NYC Fellowship question ( again )

Hi folks I am still waiting till next week to hear a decision back from the NYC Fellowship program if I have been initially accepted or not and since they said it would be a four week wait and next Tuesday ( February 9th ) is the end of the four weeks. My question is how long should I wait till I contact them to get an answer if I don’t hear anything back from them? Thanks

I’m just looking for some advice for my question and not to start an insult war. Thank you

Was the 4 week timeframe something that was communicated to you informally? Or was it something formally stated on your application.

If informally communicated I would not even wait 4 weeks. I would call now to ask when they think decisions will be mailed/emailed/communicated. DO NOT ask about your applicaction, just where they are in the process. DO NOT use a demanding tone or imply they are not doing their job. Be gracious and thank them profusely for their time.

If the 4 week time frame was a formal part of the application process, I would give 4 weeks from the last day applications were accepted plus 5 days if decisions were to be mailed, before calling to follow up.
