The WSJ definitely has an inflated notion of the importance of NYC. I never felt the entire free world hinged on the outcome of an election in London, Paris or Singapore. ---

Apparently a British paper contacted the wrong Bill deBlasio (they meant to email the former Mayor) about Mamdani’s policies. It might **drop** housing **demand** (if it actually happened, which it won’t) but it wouldn’t increase supply. If anything, it could _decrease_ supply, though not by as much as it decreases demand. ---

I used to get a lot of mailings from Republicans. And when Biden was running against Trump, i got all these letters about how of Biden won, Hilary and Nancy would really be in power. (Always first names.) It was so incredibly sexist. You hear a lot of the racists who support trump, but i think he gets at least as much support from the sexists. I guess they are trying the same tactic against Mamdani. ---
