Crap. I forgot, one more thing. **True Pisces** , I’d love to come down to Philly, _if_ I could find a ride to & fro (not so difficult, maybe) & I could afford a hotel room (much more tenuous). I doubt that I’d be able to crash with anyone due to the wheelchair accessibility issue. We’ll see what happens - e-mail me as the months draw near. ---

As for **waterj2** ’s story, I was laughing because it was late, we had a lot of beers, and I got lost halfway through the story. I think I started losing it when he was talking about a garbage truck having only 6 inches of clearance through some roadway. I think both the story and the giddiness were a result of prolonged exposure to Dopers, some alcohol and lack of sleep. A very dangerous combination. ---

Actually, **Cosmopolitan** , you might not have a problem if you wanted to crash here with **Verrain** and I (and several other Dopers, most likely). IIRC, there is only a very small step into the lobby of the building, and we’re elevatored the rest of the way up. And we shouldn’t have a problem getting your wheelchair into the elevator of the building. We’ve got a couple of people in wheelchairs in the higher floors of the building already, and I’ve never seen them having a problem getting in and out. And if, by chance, we do have a problem with the main elevators, the service elevator is easily accessible (we don’t even have to get a key like we did at **Billdo’s** ). And, IIRC, **Zappo** offered to drive you around as needed. How does that sound? I’ll definitely e-mail you when the time gets nearer. ---

Sounds pretty good, **True**! My only concern would be whether I can use the bathroom without risking life & limb. If, however, you have other wheelchair users in similar apartments, then it might be allright. Like we said, just e-mail me as the date draws closer. ---

I have a request of the NYC Dopers… I think I lost my Greek fisherman’s cap at whatever bar that was we were at on Friday night. If anyone can check into that for me, I will cheerfully send you whatever it costs to ship it, plus two dozen homemade cookies. It has sentimental value or I would just let it go. Bah freaking humbug. And sorry about how long my recap was…should have broken it into three posts, probably. Man, y’all rule. ---

My wife tried to submit a post yesterday but she was using her mother’s computer which is old and has more viruses than the Congo. As she was getting ready to send it the computer just shut off. Piece of shit. I’m sure she had a lot of nice things to say. Hopefully she can still do it this week some time. ---
