Ooooooh…I’ve had the food at Sweet Rosie O’Grady’s…it’s clearly meant for those whose palates have been severely gin-damaged. How about one of the Brazilian joints on West 46th? Or what’s the name of that fancy Kosher bistro on 47th? Le Marais? Is the Carnegie Deli still kosher? Assuming CMK is still amongst the living… * * * Uke ---

I’m with **Uke** on Rosy’s. Allow me to pimp for a friend here for a moment. If folks are willing to hike _uptown_ (Alphagene says “Woo Hoo”), let me suggest Session 73, on 73rd and First. It’s a tapas joint that is transitioning to a full menu. It also has jazz nightly (check NYPress for the lineup). The kitchen is not kosher; I’ll check on individual dishes if demand occasions it. Most importantly, the head chef there is a friend (namedrop). We can get a good table, and he usually takes care of me. I guarantee that we’ll barely be able to waddle out of the place. Manhattan, you da man. If Keller is indeed kaput, I say we rendezvous at Manhattan’s friend’s place! If the jazz band adds four extra trumpets, they’ll have a prayer of drowning us out when we start to sing. Afertwards, we can all troop up to Alphagene’s and bounce on the bed. ---

Boy, am _I_ feeling congenial this afternoon. Tapastry sounds fine, too. As an added bonus, it’s just a block or so from the White Horse Tavern, so if we start swapping literary trivia, we could wander over and try to beat Dylan Thomas’s personal best for straight Scotches. And it’s near manhattan’s, so we could all go and bounce on HIS bed. – Uke, showing that prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown. ---

Hell you can _try_ jumping on my bed. But it’s a piece of shit wooden Ikea bed that an exgirlfriend gave me when she got a new bed. You see, she showered me material goods beacuse she was incapable of showing true affection… Oh, I’m sorry. Is this a tangent? Regardless, I am looking forward to a good time free from goat parasites. I’m surprised the Columbus bumpkins took pictures at their meeting. Boy, it’s flattering to be missed! Yeah, I’m still around. Unfortunately, I got laid off from my job, so I haven’t been on line nearly as much as I used to be, especially not on time-consuming message boards. But I have been peeking periodically. And, sure, I’d love to be part of a planned get-together. As for Kosher: If it’s a genuine restaurant, I wouldn’t go if it’s not a Kosher one, but if it’s just a bar (which happens to serve some food), I’m OK with it. If there’s a specific part of Manhattan you’re looking at, I can name you some Kosher restaurants in the designated area. That range of dates works for me, as long as it’s not on Friday night or Saturday. Anything between Sunday and Thursday should be OK as far as I can think. Thanks for being so accommodating!
