Having lived in New York for nearly 2 years, I am BEYOND ready to go back (I’m now in the Midwest). In fact, one of my fellow dopers and I are going this fall, terrorists or no terrorists. So, I guess what I am trying to say is, go for it, have a blast, and don’t let them win. Odds of something actually happening are way too small to let it ruin your vacation. Have fun!!! ---

I think that the terrorist want us dead more so than scared. So everyone do us a favor and DON’T Die. Can’t let them think that they are winning this thing. ---

For several days the top news stories were how the administration had clues leading up to the 9-11 attacks, but didn’t/ couldn’t do anything to prevent them. Now suddenly the administration issues the most serious warnings to date, shifting most news stories to the topic of these warnings. Is this a coincidence I see, or just a little dog wagging in the warm D.C. sun? Not to say the terrorists won’t strike again…but I wouldn’t let threats dictate your life. Hell, I’m thinking about taking a trip to Israel in the coming weeks. Anyway, enjoy NY. stv ---
