I agree–wear tights.

The best ones I have found are at Lane Bryant. They are the only ones I have ever found that are comfortable in the waist area. Also, when they finally do break, you can knot them up and they make a splendid dog toy.

Though I can’t stand to wear the buggers, Corporate America requires it. My main frustration is with the fact that the vast majority of the nylon selection is all CONTROL TOP, which is precisely what I don’t want. Like that really helps! All it does for me is make me feel confined and give me a bellyache.

What I’ve actually found is that the cheaper stuff (like you’d get at K-Mart) runs the absolute least. I’ve not had a run in weeks, except when I’ve slipped and gotten something really super-sheer.

I’ve found that Jaclyn Smith’s line of pantyhose from Kmart actually lasts a long time. I know I’ve gotten prob. around 30 wears of a black pair of one of those brand without any runs (or maybe a tiny run in the foot part). Also, I’ve been wearing Calvin Klein (invisible control top, i think) hose with my special occassion suits, and those have been working out pretty well, although those are 11$ a pop
