Has anyone else noticed in the past few days that sometimes one of the hexagons enclosing a letter will be slightly smaller than the others, leading to a larger white border between it and the adjoining hexagons? It seems to happen randomly, although I began to wonder if it might be some form of hint. If so, I haven’t cracked the code. I play the game on a Samsung Android tablet. My wife didn’t notice it on her iPad, and I haven’t looked for it on my Windows laptop. ---

I am just so sick of Sam’s obscure cuisine terms, like today’s CALLALOO and COLCANNON. Also LLANO. I realize at least two of them have appeared before, but they still piss me off. I just imagine him living in Manhattan, going to fancy-schmancy restaurants and saying, “What do you mean? Doesn’t everyone know callaloo? I have it all the time!” ---
