An unaided QB here as well; I was stuck on
VIED
for the longest time, but finally it occurred to me.
I realize that today was fairly easy but a QB is a QB.
My last word was ENDIVE
Made it to Genius today before getting stuck. Disappointed that BARRATRY wasn’t accepted though - it’s a good word.
I had a terrible time of it today. I think this was the worst I’ve ever done.
Got to Genius today but it was a trial, today was a lot of fits and starts.
That’s the word I came here to post!
I’m also disappointed about the omission of what seems like a common enough concept, BRATTILY, especially when a similar word, BATTILY, is accepted.
I finally got to QB today, but it was a struggle. Needed 4.5 hints and 1 clue. Half a hint? How’s that, you ask?
Well, when I went to the hints page, I saw needed 5 more words (and 60-some points). The very next thing I saw was that a certain initial letter had some words and I didn’t have any for that letter. But before I got to the details of length and first two letters, I immeditately thought of what one of those words were. So I count it as half a hint.
So much blechhh. The formerly disallowed and always annoying BIRRIA. Plus, the debut of BILIARY, RATABILITY and ARABILITY. Not to mention LABILITY which was initially disallowed, then allowed, then disallowed again, and then allowed again.
Today had a perfectly good pangram that is disallowed
CONVOCATE
Yeah, I tried that one too.
Another pangram (perfect, in fact) disallowed: CENTAVO
Not a pangram but also not allowed NONCONTACT
Same complaint today! And I see three other users with the same comment over the months.
But one day it might be so we have to try it every time
Yeah, that bummed me out. I was pleased to have thought of it.
Today I confirmed that one cannot have one KUDO (which is fair, as it’s a back formation of KUDOS anyway).
Also, I really need to bone up on my ice hockey terminology.

I was surprised that you can’t have one KUDO as well. But I did get to QB today without hints. It took me a bit to get the last word KUDU which I got by random guessing.

MENAGE isn’t allowed today, even though it’s in OED and M-W, and several others.
The pangram took a while but tipped me over to Genius without any 4LW (not that there seem to be a ton of those). Unaided QB would be really tough on this one, at least for me.
All of that love for cuisine but CHIMICHURRI isn’t allowed? Very disappointing.
