Today I had a sort of weird experience. I thought I was a ways away from QB so I didn’t check the rankings for quite a while. When I finally broke down and did, I found I was a single point away from 2 * AMAZING. Which meant I didn’t have to do any calculations, just look for a 4-letter word. Which I quickly found (AMEN for those interested), so that’s another natural QB.

I typed in niblet multiple times today, with various possible spellings. I can’t believe it’s not allowed.
Also, no lutein, but that seems more obscure.
I was surprised too, but it appears to be British only? It’s in the OED but not Merriam-Webster.

It’s annoying that some words come back after having been rejected previously so we have to retry them again and again
Yesterday, there were two pangrams, where the three previous times those letters came up, there was only one. I had to use the clue to get the new one. Don’t think I’ve seen that before.
Disappointed COLITA is not accepted.

The first word I see is a pangram, formant. What, it’s not accepted?? Is that an obscure word?
I’ve never heard it. Looking at the definition, I’d say it’s obscure or technical.
Also not accepted today is NATRON, which IME is less obscure than FORMANT, but maybe that’s just me.
BTW, did anyone notice on Tuesday (HBINORT) that although TION was present, only one word used it, and it wasn’t the pangram. I was all the way past Genius and only a couple of words from Queen Bee when I noticed TION was available, and was stunned that I hadn’t seen, or needed, it before.
