I started to play Spelling Bee late so I’m at only 915 Geniuses and less than 900 Queen Bees.
It looks like in Wordle you can go back and play any game from the past but that doesn’t seem to be the case in SB.
I wrote to the editor to ask for the Spelling Bee archives to be available for play but so far no.
Another rejected word: INTRACITY.
LOL, I tried that one twice.
As for playing past games, I’m a NYT subscriber and can play games from the past 2 weeks, but not further back than that.
I can too as a Games but not News subscriber
And TRINITARIAN. ![]()
No tyrannic.
Today, I got tyranny and tyrant. I play on my phone. I’m positive I had them both. I looked at them several times on my list of found words as I was playing, wondering why tyrannic wasn’t allowed, checking my spelling against the other 2 words. Then, tyranny just vanished from my found words. It had been present for at least 10 minutes before it vanished.
Two nights ago, I was doing a NYT crossword puzzle, and while I watched, a word literally just disappeared itself from the puzzle, as I watched. It wasn’t even the most recent word I’d filled in, either. My connection can be spotty, but this is nuts.
Which also includes ANTITRINITARIAN
This confirms something I have long suspected but haven’t yet seen clear proof of. Many times I find myself right on the edge of QB and I start re-entering words I KNOW I have already entered, and that puts me over the top. I also do the puzzle on my phone.
Easiest Bee in a while, today.
Today we reached 900 Geniuses and 300 Queen Bees.
Woo hoo!!!
Note that there is a puzzle contest today, involving five puzzles in the Games section.
Thanks for posting that! My wife and I do 4 of those 5 every day, so it was simple to finish it off. Fingers crossed!
So do I. The only one I don’t bother to do is the mini crossword puzzle.
Same.
Same here, and I would just assume I was mistaken. But this time, I am completely 100% certain about that word. And I watched the crossword puzzle word vanish while I was looking right at it.
More cromulent words not accepted: MUON and CONTINUO. The latter is a common musical term.
Just started playing this yesterday, got my first genius:
Huh. To be honest, I thought that the share would be akin to Wordle’s share: about my game, not an ad.
