I was following the speech pattern of the previous posts, which wasn’t obvious with all the spoilers!

How’s everyone doing with today’s puzzle? We haven’t found the pangram and are having a hard time getting to Genius.

Actually got a Pangram First (not that that’s a badge past 200, IIRC) today. But yes, it did take much longer than usual to get to Genius.
ETA: NAPHTHA is still rejected.
The first thing I saw was the Volkswagen Phaeton.
Opened it up, saw a pangram and entered, and then headed off to do things. Forgot all about it until your post. ETA: Still no NAPHTHA I guess.

And why do the allow PENTANE and HEPTANE and in the past OCTANE but not NONANE? They allow NONET along with OCTET, SEPTET, etc.

I had an awful time with it. Gave up with 5 words to go. Never even heard of phaeton, and never remember patentee.
