Ditto. My daughter’s a fan. Didn’t stop me from missing it, though.
Wasn’t coho a word, and then not a word again? Seems like it’s back on.
Well, it’s always been a fish. Whether it was accepted in this puzzle or not doesn’t change that. At any rate, I can’t recall it ever being rejected.
Literally same.
Not that I got it either.
COHO has been accepted all 49 times it’s come up. You might be thinking of OPAH, which was accepted 17 times, but rejected in the past 8 occurances.
Same with me: hadn’t heard of it, got it by guessing.
It’s annoying when it’s an obscure-to-me word like that, but now that I’m shooting for Queen Bee most days (thanks to Spelling Bee Buddy), what’s even more annoying is not being able to see fairly ordinary words I do know.
I was looking for a four letter word starting GO, and systematically going through every combination – GOCC, GOCH, GOCI, and so on – until I got to GONG. D’oh!
This is why, when I’m stuck on the last few words, I look at the chart on the Spellng Bee Buddy that indicates how many people have found a word. Usually they’re obscure, but if over 50% have found one it means I’m blanking on a common one.
And my daughter is also a fan of mochi.

Yeah, I sometimes do that. Doesn’t really help much.
Right now, I’m down to only 7 points to go to get QB without using the hints. This is where figuring out exactly how many points there are pays off. Well, to some extent; it lets me avoid trying for a longer word. It doesn’t tell me what the first letter of the last word is, though.
Ah, yes, thanks.
Ha ha, it took me way to long to understand why it wasn’t accepting WALLABEE.

why it wasn’t accepting WALLABEE.
You don’t have to spoiler a word that is not accepted, unless it’s too close to a word that is. In this case, it isn’t necessary.
I guess that’s true. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yep, it’s like they’re saying, “You idiot, everybody else managed to find that word!”
I used to be neutral about BAOBAB trees, but now, thanks to this game, I find them annoying.
You and the Little Prince.
Sunday:
Getting tired of the random selection of UN- words again.
Also - I thought BUNTLINE made a perfectly good pangram. I know the Colt is capitalized but the knot is, er, not.
Yeah, that seems like a perfectly valid word. INUTILE, on the other hand, can get launched into the sun.
I had to Google the definition of that word (inutile), though having done so, it’s ironic as the definition perfectly fits the word.
It’s one of those words that if a friend used it in middle school, you’d punch him really hard in the arm.
