Cromulent is a perfectly cromulent word. I and all the linguists I know (I don’t know any linguistics undergrads like myself; I’m pretty sure I’m the only one at my school) love it. (And in case you still don’t know, it means “acceptable”, more or less.)
In all seriousness, it’s a fantastic way to define language. And FWIW, “slipperly” gets 20,100 Google hits.
