Okay, I think I see what my problem was. I apparently assigned confidence points to every game after spending lots and lots of time deciding how to most efficiently allocate them and then… I freaking forgot to pick which team would win each game. Which is kind of important. So I got a big fat zero for week two. But that’s okay, I will just step it up from here on out. ---

Between Jordan Jefferson and Les Miles, I think LSU is a threat to lose to anyone, anytime. ---

LSU is not the powerhouse they’ve been in the past. State has a good defense, but not much offense. I expect a low scoring game decided by a touchdown or less. One lucky break could be all it takes to put the Bullydogs over the top… ---

Rule #1 of Oak’s College Pick’m. See who is Oak picking in his upset special. Then pick against. Signed: Ramblin Wrecker Week 3 winner, but still in 8th place. PS there was no love for UCLA. Everyone picked Houston. LOL. And Houston was a 3 pt favorite. ---

Yeah-yeah. Doubt my brilliant prognostication if you will. This week’s upset special is again Mississippi State, at home, over Georgia. There is a Friday game to pick this week…TCU and…somebody they’ll blow out. ---

I was not expecting that. Don’t think I can really call a favorite my “upset special”, so my revised, but hereby official Upset Special is… South Carolina over Auburn at Auburn. Think that game will be a defining moment for the Gamecocks. Auburn’s not great, but they’re pretty good this year. Beating them at home would be a major accomplishment for the real USC… ---

Big 10 Schedule this week: All home games for the Big 10: Indiana vs Akron Iowa vs Ball St Michigan vs Bowling Green Mich St vs Northern Colorado Minnesota vs Northern Illinois Northwestern vs Central Michigan Ohio St vs East Michigan Penn St vs Temple Purdue vs Toledo Wisconsin vs Austin Peay Illinois (idle) Nebraska vs South Dakota St. Wow. Tough Road to Hoe here. This is why I think the big 10 ought to start their conference schedule early. the SEC has some blockbuster games this weekend. Bama @ Ark, USC @ Auburn. Games that get your attention. ---

I had amongst the fewest misses this week ,but got toasted by putting too many points on Minn. Purdue and Texas. Who would figure Northern Illinois and Toledo would beat a big ten team? ---

LOL. Yes, given my official upset special for last week kept my unblemished streak of fail alive, I shoulda just stayed with State over Georgia. I’ll get the picks made when I get home this evening, and post an upset special, hopefully by 6:00 PM Central tonight. Bama at home against Florida is huge for both teams. The winner is probably a lock for the SEC Championship game and then the less important BCS Championship. I think Bama is the better team, but that game will not be the upset special this week…I suspect Bama at home is the favorite. ---

All right sportsfans…I’m offering up a twofer on my Upset Special this week. That’s right, I’ll be calling for two upsets for the same low low price of…well…free. Only way it could cost you money was if you bet these games. Upset Special #1: Clemson at home over Miami (16). But wait! There’s more! Upset Special #2: Penn State (22) over Iowa (17) at Iowa. ---
