I think it’s as likely that this was a CIA operation as a military one. They’re at least as likely to have the kind of deep intelligence, and we know that there are CIA operatives in Islamabad. I’m not one to celebrate death, but if anyone had this coming, it was bin Laden. I suspect this will get cleared up in Obama’s speech. ---

I’ll savor the moment when we stop buying the oil that is financing terrorism. When we have government MANDATED alternative energy; when the oil companies are FORCED to develop other fuels; and when all the multinational executives in bed with the Saudis are executed for treason. The only way to win the “war on terror” is to first win the war on oil. That is the only way. In the 60s, Kennedy said “we WILL go to the moon” and the whole country pulled together to do it. There was a crash program by the government to get to the moon, and we did it before the end of the decade. The EXACT SAME THING MUST HAPPEN with getting off of oil. Osama Bin Laden is nothing. The real enemy we have to defeat is our addiction to oil that sponsors terrorism and dictatorship.
