If he was killed a week ago, I guess they must have been holding the announcement pending the DNA identification. I strongly suspect that timing the announcement to bigfoot _The Apprentice_ was not a coincidence. It’s mostly a symbolic and psychological event, but it’s a lift for the whole country. I wonder how the right wll find a way to piss on it. ---

And “Mission Accomplished” referred to our having crushed Saddam Hussein’s vaunted military - something that took only _three weeks_ to accomplish - and it was intended as a giant high-five to the U.S. military in Iraq, whose members had risked and sometimes lost their lives in order to make it happen. ---
