If anyone runs into **Sicks Ate** in another thread _please_ ask him to come back here and comment on the pictures of Republican Presidents humiliating Marines. We know he’s not a racist, because he told us so. If he has any integrity at all, he’ll come back, if only to claim he was experimenting with new dosages for his meds that day. ---

The family of the Marine who held the umbrella has spoken out and neither they nor their son seems to understand what all the fuss is about. Late as usual, but I’m posting to mention that today I went on a motorcycle run with a bunch of Marines, some active duty and some retired. I asked their thoughts and they all thought that the kerfluffle was really stupid. According to them, you have to be the best of the best to be allowed the honor of personally serving the POTUS. The only greater honor is to stand in the rain to guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. ---

Mr. Ates is certainly not a clinical moron – he can register for a message board, punctuate sentences, etc. – so I think OP demonstrates the huge power of the Idiocracy now almost running the U.S. Mr. Ates is attracted to Internet blogs which share his economic philosophy (taxes are bad), his understanding of freedom (Obama wants to grab his guns), etc. When the commentators on these blogs tell him to hate Obama for Umbrellagate, he just goes along, confused into thinking these commentators are sincere and sentient humans. ---
