Late as usual, but I’m posting to mention that today I went on a motorcycle run with a bunch of Marines, some active duty and some retired.
I asked their thoughts and they all thought that the kerfluffle was really stupid. According to them, you have to be the best of the best to be allowed the honor of personally serving the POTUS. The only greater honor is to stand in the rain to guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
