I didn’t say otherwise. As I read the OP’s uncle’s rant I saw him conflating several popular memes. There is at least a kernel of truth to this one. Some cancer centers are refusing to see Medicare patients.
Some of the right wingers (Rush. cough, cough. Rush. Cough) note that Obamacare does include about $500-700 billion in cuts to the growth of Medicare over a ten year period, counting on gains in efficiency and stamping out fraud to achieve that projected savings. This is projecting to slow the rate of growth, which is often characterized as a spending cut in Washington-speak.

Time will tell if such savings can truly be achieved without affecting patient care. Daily Kos goes on to blame Republicans for how their (pre-election) budget plan would still expect that savings but not spend it by assisting others to achieve medical care. Obamacare counts, in part, on those savings to be able to help subsidize insurance for the poor.
