So I’m listening to Obama talk about changing politics and agreeing, though I know it’s bullshit. I keep hearing from Dopers how some Congresscritter from the GOP says something dumb and therefore paints the party with a wide brush. I think it quite telling that the presidential candidates have used the inflammatory rhetoric of the OP and it reflects quite poorly on their character. Now, if people they had no control over had used those words, it wouldn’t reflect on their character at all. ---

Yes, terrible delivery. But also, clearly in direct response to Palin’s line, “I guess being a governer is sort of like being a community organizer, except you have actual responsibilities.” Because Palin is a professed devout Christian, pointing out the respective job titles of Jesus and Pilate is funny. ---
