Of course, as ignorant as you are, you might be talking about Big Bird. Hard to be sure. The parable relates to sin and judgement, not the prescribed punishment. Most modern scholars are unanimous that Jesus was a very traditional Jew and at great pains to emphasize his identification with that tradition.
