People who are too dumb too think for themselves will take the content of these emails as the truth without ever questioning it. ---

The KKK was really big on flagwaving in the 1920s and there was quite a bit of it around the time that Wilson and WWI were promoting xenophobia. It probably goes back before that, but flags were more expensive and cameras were fewer. ---
