I’m assuming the Watergate reference was sarcastic - as in Obama’s opponents wish this was the equivalent of Watergate for him when it obviously isn’t and won’t be. Wow, that’s a pretty big out you left yourself for that prediction. It effectively translates to: Someone in government will have an affair, and it will cause a problem for them professionally. If you phrased it that way, you wouldn’t have had much of an argument, though. ---

As I recall the “Petraeus Betray Us” thing was MoveOn douchebaggery which the Republicans were at great pains to denounce, citing the general’s important service to our country blah blah blah. ---
