After all, she’s done nothing more than lead a movement, give a few speeches, and get put under house arrest for a few years. ---

For anybody who does hate Obama, there’s a bright side to this: there really aren’t any honors left for him, so if you think he’s just in it for the adulation, nothing’s going to top this. He’s won two Grammys, been elected president, was Time’s Person of the Year for 2008, and now he’s won the Nobel Peace Prize. Even if he wins an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony, and follows it up by being named Playmate of the Year, it’s an anticlimax. ---

While I’m absolutely bewildered as to why Obama won the Peace Prize, I’m going to simply assume that it is a reflection of how a committee of the Storting views the world, and I see no point in getting bent out of shape one way or the other. ---
