# Obama's Aunt Will Have to Stay in America

Broadly speaking, asylum law is geared toward claims that allege “if I go back, my Government will harm me (or will actively sponsor others to do so).” Unfortunately, it is much more difficult to base a claim on an allegation that “If I go back, my Government will fail to protect me from crime.”
