When will President Obama [stop](http://www.westernfreepress.com/2013/01/23/the-endless-campaign-inaugural-address-as-stump-speech/) [his](http://www.kare11.com/news/article/1008402/396/Obama-plans-Minneapolis-visit-) [endless](http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/Ken-Walshs-Washington/2012/12/10/obamas-endless-campaign) [campaign](http://www.jammiewf.com/2012/the-endless-campaign-obama-to-launch-tax-hike-pr-blitz/)? And why does he insist, over and over again, on taking trips across the country to build support for his ideas? I cannot understand, for the life of me, why the president would use such tactics in an effort to keep the promises he made to the American people. Does he not see that efforts to garner support among the public might actually lead to passage of legislation that he believes will be good for the country? The man really needs to take a good long look at the Republicans in Congress to see how a _real_ politician should act. Trying to get stuff done, indeed. Who the hell does he think he is?! ---

I love, as per the last link, when they use crazy-ass pictures of someone to go along with the story. Like a reader is supposed to go, “Hmmm, I’ve never heard of this Obama character, but based on this one picture I don’t like him.” ---

Ever hear the term “bully pulpit”. That’s the one thing he has in his bag. GWB tried to use it to sell his asinine idea of privatizing Social Security and it flopped worse than a Broadway play that didn’t make it out of previews. When a President talks, the media and the people listen even if they don’t like what he’s saying. ---

So, you’re saying Obama is a bully? I thought we are all trying to get past that. Oh, and Bush never tried to “privatize Social Security”. That meme just won’t die on this MB. ---

It’s not about abuse of power it’s about the fact that you are the President. So quit being stupid. Now explain to me Bush’s tour to sell the idea of privatization of Social Security was all about. We watched the tour, we heard the message. He went on a national tour. He wanted individual accounts that would be dependent on the markets. That’s privatization. He tried to use the “bully pulpit” and fell flat on his stupid face. Then, the markets crashed. Good job, Dub. If he got immediately what he was selling he would have wiped people out. Now I know it was not going to be implemented immediately but what he was proposing was too dependent on market performance. If those that established private account had to suffer another market crash like that they could end up destitute. That’s not security. Now tell me all about the meme. Did you have a 401k? How much did it lose at that time and what would it have meant to you if you had just reached retirement age.? ---

Obama did more or less say in his second term he intends to use the American people to put the thumb screws to their local Reps. ---

Hey, if you don’t like Obama traveling around being President and doing President things, please whine about it. Your whining about it gives me special pleasure. I’m sure he does it just to rub it in to patriotic Americans like you that he got a lot more votes than the robot you guys nominated, or the crazy coot before that. And he is so much better than your beloved W, the worst president in American history. It’s hard to make Buchanan and Harding look statesmenlike, but you guys did it. ---

I meant for the OP to be sarcastic, but evidently I didn’t do a good enough job of it. I too think the complaints about an “endless campaign” are ridiculous.
