Very promising episodes. The reviews I’ve seen online haven’t been great (just okay), but I thought these episodes fit perfectly to the character we know of Obi-Wan, and his actions fit his motivations. Which is what makes it a step back up from Boba Fett – that show really didn’t fit the character of Boba Fett that we knew; it made him cuddly and naive, with very unclear motivations. And I’m glad we got off of Tattooine! ---

Owen took Luke in out of respect for his father and stepmother, because he and his wife wanted a child of their own, and because he was a decent person… As for why he cared for him: raising him from an infant as his own child probably had something to do with it. ---

The original movie takes place 9 years after the events of this TV series; Sir Alec Guinness was 63 years old when _Star Wars_ premiered in 1977. So, there’ll effectively be only 3 years’ difference between the ages of the actors at that point. I guess actors age better these days, or something. 😉 ---

Something that just occurred to me - if that clone trooper Obi-Wan saw begging on the street had recognized him, he would have immediately tried to kill him, wouldn’t he? ---
