# objects in mirror are closer... well, you know.

The right side-view mirrow, at the bottom of it, the ubiquitous text reads, “OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR.” Why is this? And why isn’t it on the left side-view? How about for vehicles where the driver sits on the right. Is that warning reciprocated?
