And I just caught another reference in another episode when Glenn said “All right, uh, moving on. Tornado safety…”.
When I saw that episode for the first time, I only saw the baby being delivered, I was surprised when I found out Abed was having his own side adventures without us.
And one of the least elaborate, but it still gets me every time is the steel drums.
FWIW, I always liked Frankie.
In the episode I watched last night Glenn mentioned they haven’t done a tornado drill in 8 years.
In this (should be cued up) clip of Malcolm in the Middle, I’m about 75% sure the weatherman you can hear on the TV is Bryan Cranston.
I think you’re right!
This thread is for things you’ve never noticed before.
Inspired by a Facebook clickbait post [emphasis mine]:
Samantha’s nose wiggle was one of the signature parts of the show, and they were inspired by the twitch that Montgomery actually had whenever she got nervous – but there’s more to this story…
If you actually pay close attention to Montgomery’s movements, you’ll notice she’s just moving her upper lip.
I never noticed that. Since I can wiggle my nose, I guess I just assumed she was wiggling hers. This compilation shows me Clickbait is right, and I’ve been wrong.
Any reason this shouldn’t be in Obvious things about a creative work you realize after the millionth time ?
Didn’t know it existed.
You mean you Never Noticed
I assumed the op was soliciting other stuff people just noticed.
Well played.
Yes.
Crap another belief shot to hell!
Endora didn’t have to do facial tics to do her magic, did she?
It’s early, but I don’t think I’m going to learn anything more interesting than that today.
mmm
No, but she was much older and more experienced. A hand wave sufficed.
It was always obvious to me that Samantha was twitching her lips (both of them).
Heck, I noticed that during the initial run of the show. I figured that 1.) Elizabeth Montgomery probably couldn’t wiggle her nose and/or 2.) moving her upper lip was more visible and easier to film.
In the They Might Be Giants song “Ana Ng” there are the lines:
"And it sticks like a broken record
Everything sticks like a broken record"
The phrase “sticks like a broken record” repeats, like a broken record.
AC/DCs “Problem Child” features maracas. Never noticed it until a minute ago.
