Let’s be accurate, shall we? Camping didn’t revise his prediction for the end of the world. May 21 was supposed to be the rapture, five months before the end of the world on October 21. Should the man be mocked and ridiculed for being wrong? Certainly. He put himself out there, as did his followers. However, that the majority of Americans, I read up to 70%, believe judgment day will come, 40% believing it will happen by the year 2050, is what should be alarming to us, not that some old delusional coot thought it was going to happen last weekend. The rapture Camping described before Saturday didn’t occur. So he was wrong. Ridicule him for that. There’s no need to embellish or reinterpret what he actually said to make your point. ---
