BTW, my own birthday is Oct 14, nine months and one day from the date my parents were married.

(An old saying in these parts: “The first one can come anytime. All the rest take nine months.”)

This is bizarre, because 5 of my friends were born on September 23. Were they all premies? Using a different calendar? Celebrating early?

So I wonder what is the most common birthday among the chinese, and possibly others who celebrate new year at a different time? Late october to mid december for the chinese?

Naw, they could still be New Year’s babies because a full term pregnancy is considered between 37-42 weeks.

I’ve heard that in the Southern Hemisphere the most common birth months are different, because their winter is in our summer, but I’m still having my morning coffee and am in so shape to look it up. Something about winter encourages lustful abandon it seems. 🙂
