Octopus farming: They're that good to eat?

When a well-known candy company comes out with chocolate-covered octopus nuggets, will they be called Reese’s Octopeeses? Only in they are sold in eight-packs.

Technically squid rather than octopus, but may I present katsu ika odori-don, or “dancing squid”

Here’s what it looks like in action

I’ve eaten lion. I was a token amount and I couldn’t tell you what it tastes like but it’s been checked off the list.

I think octopuseses would be great farmers – they’d get four times the work done! But if they’re not careful, they could wind up in combat:

Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!

MARIA WILL HAVE HER REVENGE!

I’ve got a takoyaki pan and some frozen octopus in the freezer. It’s surprisingly difficult to get a hold of. There was a Mexican market about 20 years ago that always had it in it’s carneceria cabinet, but not lately. I’ll try to report back when I make it.

They may be smart, but their lack of fire making skills makes it unlikely for them to advance to the octopus bronze age. Probably good for us.

Just you wait until they domesticate bloodworms with their copper fangs. Bronze will not be far away.

It serves them right for being so cruel to eat an animal alive.

Done!

Yeah, you know that is why we have animal cruelty laws. If you are hungry, ya gotta eat, but there is no reason to torture animals for your amusement.
