Ok, so we are watching Fantasic Planet, which I swore I had seen a couple of times before, but I seem to have conflated it with some film that reminds me a lot of it. . the film I am thinking of had a kind of war plot with semi-subterranean scenes and odd animals-- a very similar kind of film and a similar plot but not this one precisely. Am I going insane? The one I’m thinking of feels like it had more. . finished? artwork, and is perhaps less old. . . . . any ideas?

You’re not giving us much to go on, but are you possibly thinking of [Light Years](http://us.imdb.com/Title?0095525)?

Yes, that’s exactly it.
Now how in the hell did I mix THOSE two up. . . Now I’m sort of embarassed.
Thanks, Skeezix!

Now, if only I could get Cecil or the Reader to pay me for remembering the oddest little details of _every_ lousy sci fi/horror/anime movie I’ve ever seen, I’d have found my dream job.

[sub]That, and I could afford to replace my umpteen thousand cable-taped bootlegs with DVDs…[/sub]

Did Asimov actually create a character named “Queen Ambisextra”?

And is this movie any good?

Remember, this is also the guy who wrote _The Illustrated Dirty Old Man_ and two books of dirty limericks.
