# Odd error message with most google sites

Is anyone else getting this novel error message with any google search?

> 
> **[www.google.com](http://www.google.com)** refused to connect.
> 
> ERR\_BLOCKED\_BY\_RESPONSE

I get it from any google search, also google maps, but gmail is fine.

ETA: and it’s back. But if anyone knows what that internet error message means, I’m still interested. It’s a new one on me.

Please always provide info like OS, browser, etc.

The first thing to do is run a deep virus scan.
