In [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=463453), when I put my cursor on the thread title, I see a couple of sentences which seem perfectly normal and make sense in their order, but when I click on the link I find they are in a completly different order in the post. In fact, the line that appears first in the mouseover is the eighth line in the post.

I’ve never seen (or maybe noticed) this before. Is this some odd quirk of the software? Does anyone slse see this besides me?

The OP included some white-on-white text in the first line of the post. If you highlight the blank space at the top of the post, you’ll see it.

I believe he got the idea from [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=416877).

If you do a search for ATMB threads started by me from any date, you can see the mouseover preview for that thread from the search results.

The idea is to allow a normal narrative flow for your actual OP, but have the mouseover get right to the point without the backstory.
