We have “Springfield” here.

There are some very funny Aboriginal place names, such as Indooroopilly and Wooloongabba.

There is also a suburb called Goodna, which is Aboriginal for “dung heap”.

There is a town called “Milbong” around here, and in NSW there is a town called “Wooden Bong”.

Also - Bli Bli, Toowoomba, Gin Gin. There is an endless supply!

My boyfriend’s mother lives a few miles away from Bucksnort, TN. Every one who drives between Nashville and Memphis on I40 notices the exit.

[Dribble Glass](http://www.dribbleglass.com/Jokes/town-names.htm) has a bunch of weird town names.

Hey, **Colibri** , do you know what would lead people to name something Salsipuedes? Does the Panama one have a story behind it? If the California one does, I’ve never heard it.

PS, one I like in California is: Buttonwillow.

Oooh, I remember seeing that one! And further out West on I-10 (way further out), there is an exit for “Boracho Sta”, with nothing in sight. I’ve always wondered about that.

Let me tell you, though, that Comfort, Tx is anything but.
