I have a cheapo HP Scanjet 2100C. I don’t use a whole lot, but sometimes it will get kinda wonky when I do. I click on the scan button, and the picture comes up as completely white while it’s scanning and turn black when the scan is complete. I try resetting the computer, but it doesn’t help. I usually have to “remove” the scanner from the System Manager and have the computer “find” it when I reboot.

Any clues?
