There have been threads about exotic locales for your own sexual escapades, but what’s the oddest place you’ve stumbled across, perhaps literally, others having sex? Last week, midnight-ish. An elevator in the Hyatt Regency in downtown Cleveland. Hit the up button, the doors opened almost immediately and there was a couple in there, going at it. They were way more embarrassed and flustered than we were. We were startled, then very, very amused. They ran away like gazelles from a lion, if gazelles were awkwardly trying to fix their clothing as they ran and casting embarrassed looks behind them. I know this can’t be the oddest location, though. So what’s yours? ---

I was a lifeguard at a very family-friendly waterpark for two summers. There were costumed Veggie Tales characters, most of the rides and areas were appropriate for small kids, and there were a ton of picnic tables. There was a weekend church event going on one Saturday - a large youth group and their families were in the park, but it was still open to the public as well. I was lifeguarding in the wave pool when I saw my supervisors running over to the picnic pavillions nearby. Yep, some parents sent their large brood of kids into the wave pool to have fun and then got ON a picnic table, under a beach towel, to have some fun of their own. Whole family got thrown out, and I wonder if the kids ever figured out why (or if they were a part of that church group). ---

Not so much an odd place, but an odd situation. I was at a hotel for a convention and hanging out on one of the balconies with a bunch of friends. We were just drinking, smoking, chatting and the like when we noticed some people in a car out in the parking lot. After a few minutes we realized they were going at it. Being 1am or so we decided to watch and judge their technique as best as we could see them. Eventually they finished and as they drove out, they pulled up near the balcony and the guy yelled up and asked if we enjoyed the show. Not really knowing what else to do, we all applauded. ---

That’s an easy question, and a moment I won’t forget. I was taking the subway (U-Bahn) from a north part of Berlin to the city center on a Friday night at about 10:00 PM. In the last car of the train, suddenly two guys dropped their pants and started to go at it, standing, in a crowded subway car! They were slightly drunk, but knew what they were doing and found it funny. Needless to say, other Germans on the train didn’t find it all that funny. However, at the next stop (where I had to exit anyway) the entire car emptied very quickly and masses of people ran to the person in charge of that station, complaining loudly about what was going on. Too late - the subway moved on and last I saw was two smiling guys, alone in their subway car, continuing their activity as the train pulled away from the station. ---

Sadly, I’ve never been able to catch anybody having sex. The closest I came was when I was a delivery driver. One of the cooks was taking a smoke break in the parking lot of the strip mall, and he was smiling at me. I had no idea what he was smiling about, so I went back inside and went back to work. Later he came in and said there was a couple screwing in the parking lot, and he was watching them. ---

I was working on a drilling rig and a casing crew came to run the casing. There were some problems with the run and the guys were the for several days. One of the guys was a serious tweeker and after working so long was getting withdrawls. The rig crew were laughing at him for it untill the afternoon of the second day when a girl showed up they went under the pipe trailers and started screwing. It took us a couple of min to figure out if they were actually having sex but once she rolled on top it was pretty obvious. He didn’t have the shakes when I saw him later that night so assume she brought him some drugs as well. After another day he was back to shaking and just walked off of the job. ---

I was running on Jones Beach last week, on the eastern part, the mostly-deserted dunes, and passed a couple engaged in an unusually vigorous act of fellatio. When I ran back that way, about 15 minutes later, they were sitting up, fully clothed, and nodded to me as I passed by. I wonder if they noticed me the first time. ---

Can we say “encountered” instead of “caught”? It makes me feel like less of a stalker, or something? Not that it occurs to me on any regular basis, but you see some odd things when you are out walking a dog. And no, “walking a dog” isn’t a metaphor. So, to the nitty-gritty. The oddest place was on the side of a public footpath in broad daylight. A couple, possibly in their 20’s, were going at it full tilt, and, I’m not a prudish man, but I told them to have some decency and get in the nearby undergrowth, or I’d set my dog on them. That brought them down to earth with a bump. ---
