Of All the Tacky Things in This World....

And if If you read my post more carefully you would see I wasn’t talking about Izzue, who are clearly in the wrong.

Now that somebody’s linked a picture of the robot I’m not really sure WHAT they were thinking as religious symbolsim would be just as odd there as Nazi symbolism, but that was my guess with no information.

When people think of World War 2 atrocities in Hong Kong they tend to think of the Rape of Nanjing, not Hitler. Stupid, sure, but isn’t it pretty much the opposite in the west? Still, that NOBODY at Izzue said “what, what the hell is this crap?” before the stuff went to production.

I can’t think of a cite offhand, but I’m pretty sure even the ‘Nazi’ version (clockwise) has been used by others.

Yeah, the Empress Alexandra of Russia was very fond of the swastika-it was her good luck symbol. Her last diary cover has a swastika embroidered on it by her daughter, Tatiana, and in The Jewel Album of Tsar Nicholas II there are sketches of pins that have swastikas in the design.
