Well, for those left unmoved by the Big Apple’s elephant-dung-Madonna caper, the San Francisco Art Institute offers you an upgrade to the Golden State’s [state of the art of performance art](http://www.sfweekly.com/issues/2000-02-23/bayview.html). (Sorry, no images.)

This leaves us with many questions. All intellectual, of course. This **is** “Generous Questions”, isn’t it?:

1. Can NYC or Amsterdam top this?
2. How does this “performance art” differ from the so-called “legitimate stage”? I thought **that** scene was supposed to be “performance art”.
3. Why didn’t I see anything about this in the Chronicle?
4. What were the. . .um. . .shortcomings of Yegge’s act that “degraded” his deportment card and uniquely lost him the right to copulate on campus in the future?
5. What would you consider an appropriate encore?

Ray (Provided in the interest of the major interest at this MB, and in the interest of art and questions general. Comment from NEA not available.)

> Yegge used the entire run to clean up the campus grounds.I quote " In the world of performance art, a work may leave no physical artifact on the earth. "

> The dean of emmissions, er,admitions was outraged,as he had previously agreed to be the “volunteer”
