I think **chaoticdonkey** just accused me of being the MMP attention/posting 'ho. :dubious:

I’m for sure the MMP TMI posting 'ho. 😃

Oh, and I am a bachelor this weekend. Well, actually, I am a bachelor every day but this will be an ACBGless weekend. He’s gone to visit some of his relations in Alabammy fer the next three days. I’m gonna miss the critter bein’ around but to tell the truth, I’m kinda lookin’ forward to having a weekend to myself. Heck, I might not even leave the house cept to go to the mailbox. Which means I gotta remember to put on some clothes before going outside. Life just gets so complicated sometimes!

I’d like to share my week with you all if you don’t mind.

Monday: Not feeling good, chest hurts (been 5 or 6 days). Work, read MMP, go to bed early.

Tuesday: Dr. Appointment. 2nd titty squishing in 3 weeks (sorry guys if this is too girly for ya). No results yet, hope to hear back today. (Note to girls… if you haven’t had one by the time you are 40… GO GET ONE NOW! Better safe than sorry.) Told Dr. about chest pains… sent to x-ray, had EKG. Diagnosis: similar to VunderWife… somehow I stressed the cartilge in my ribcage. Taking an anti-imflammatory steroid for 6 days. Went to work, read MMP.

Tuesday night: Picked up my new car! Yay! Sexy black Camry. Moon roof, leather interior, gold accents on exterior trim. Purty! Car buying very, very, very stressful. Glad it’s over. Bye-bye old blue pick-em-up. It’s been a good 11 1/2 years. Hello sexy Faerie-mobile!

Wednesday: Work. Read MMP. Nothing weird happens. Thank Og.

Thursday: Go to work. Read MMP. Get phone call from The Elf. His back has siezed up (he has degenerated disks from an old back injury) and he had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance on a backboard. Much bad pain for poor sweet Elf. Faerie very sad and stressed. Spend 6 hours at hospital, then get him home and into bed. Spend rest of night nursing. Elf does well on Percoset. Can now walk with effort and is in good spirits.

Friday: Go to work. Read MMP. Have to take off work at 2:00 to take Elf to Doctor. I am hoping that said Doctor will insist on him seeing a spinal injury specialist. I expect to have to take more time off of work to drive him places. (Not a big deal as far as my bosses are concerned, but I am almost out of sick/vacation leave ☹ ). I’m not complaining, but The Elf worries about stuff like that. He personally has enough sick time saved that he could take a month off. But I am positive that now he sees that he has a real problem that must be taken care of to improve his quality of life.

That’s all I wanted to share. Oh yes, my chest isn’t hurting as much. Don’t know if it’s because it is healing or if it’s because the Celebrex is doing it’s job.

Sorry **Mr. Rue**. I think I killed your thread.

Was it the frowny face smilie?

Despite how whiny my post sounded, I’m actually in a pretty good mood today. I just needed to share.

Faeries aren’t always light and happy.

Speaking of faeries. I saw Finding Neverland last weekend and I was the only one who clapped when Tinkerbell needed healing! I was appalled. Those poor, poor people who don’t believe in faeries. Very sad.

**Swampy** , the word you are looking for is “whore”. If you can’t bring yourself to say “whore” you should just say something completely else. It’s just the way it is. You can pronounce “whore” as “hoo’er” if you want since you’re all Southern and stuff, I’ll give you that. And if you just _have_ to apostrophize the word and use it that way, it would be " ‘ho’ " and you can see how silly _that_ is.

Sheesh, **Faerie** , I really hope things start improving for you. What a horrible week.

Thanks \*\*Swampy \*\* and **Tupug** for your concern. I am sure that I am fine. It’s not like the weight loss has been a huge dramatic loss over a very short time. I’ve dropped about 15 pounds in about a two and half month timeframe. I did have some awful stress about two months ago, but things have gone back to normal in that arena of life. Really, I could stand to lose the weight anyway. Another 15 pounds or so and I will be one svelte lookin’ lady.

Honestly, the few times I have gone to the doctor with a “perceived” problem, he or she doesn’t find anything wrong. Two or three years ago, after considerable nagging by co-workers, family and friends, I went in for a 10 year overdue pap and physical. I had some other things going on that I wanted checked out. The whole visit probably took less than 20 minutes. I outlined some concerns and they were pretty much blown off. They didn’t really find anything wrong with me, supposedly. So, I’ve become rather jaded about the whole thing. I will make sure I get my boob smooshing and female exam, though. I’ve got the whole fan-damily nagging me about that.

Well, back to the grind that is my job…

Easy is a good thing, as is tasty.

I’m sure you understand my position though, because at the moment I’m forced to take you at your word concerning the “easy” bit. Not that I mistrust you or anything, but since I’m not looking at anything resembling an _actual recipe_ I have nothing else to go on. I’m not suggesting that it’s somehow your responsibility to satisfy my whims, but right now you’re just teasing me.

**Exgineer** , how about if we throw you an idea: refrigerater cookies. Get the plain sugar cookie dough --the stuff that comes in rolls, and that you slice and bake. Slice them. Sprinkle cinnamon on some, sprinkle ginger on some. If you have sprinkles or buy sprinkles, by all means sprinkle them, but the spices will make people think you made them from scratch.

Or, if you have icing (even if it is in a can), you can icing them AFTER they cook and are cool. Otherwise the icing slides off. I know, because I never take these things at their face value without testing it. I’m just that way. And I have the messy kitchen to prove it.

If you put a hat on a star, wouldn’t it be like hiding its light under a bushel? Especially if the hat was too big.

Good vibes to all who need them, I have been keeping you in my thoughts.

**Ex** , darlin’, shortbread is very easy. A basic recipe is:

1 cup butter (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups sifted flour

Cream the butter with sugar. Add flour until well combined (I use my hands). Chill. Pat into two 7 inch circles.

Place on baking sheet and mark 16 wedges in each. Bake at 300F for 30 minutes.

I often skip the “chill” part of the directions and will bake my shortbread pressed into a pie pan. Some people prefer to use powdered sugar, I’m not convinced it makes a difference. If you’d like to be a bit fancy, this is one of my favorite variations:

1 cup roasted hazelnuts
3/4 cup butter – sliced and chilled
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup flour

Preheat oven to 350F. Chop hazelnuts in a food processor until they are a coarse grind. Add in the butter and sugar, and process thoroughly. Place nut mixture in mixing bowl, and add the flour 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Make 1 1/2-inch balls of the dough and place on a non-stick cookie sheet, about 1/2-inch apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. (or pressinto a pie or cake pan).

To be really fancy, after the hazelnut cookie cool, melt some chocolate chips and dip each cookie halfway (or just frost with chocolate–but if you want to blow people’s mind, make a true dipping chocolate mixture). If you do bake them in a pie pan, cut them when they are still warm, then enjoy their buttery goodness. Heck, now I’ve got to make shortbread!

Faeries are pretty easy to love. They don’t demand much, just that you believe in them. And clap when you are watching Peter Pan. Oh, and I recommend the movie Finding Neverland. I’m a Johnny Depp fan anyway, but this was an enjoyable movie. Even The Elf liked it (don’t tell anyone, but he’s an old softy. He cried during the sad parts). Oh, and I get lots of loving. I’m pretty lucky that way.

What a great recipe **Kellessa**. Those sound really easy. I may just make some, too. I have a friend who makes killer ganache(sp?). I think she and I could pair up on this one.

Ah! We’re into the recipe section now are we? I love it, 'cause when I have nothing much clever to say, (which is pretty often), I can always throw in a recipe or two and pretend like I’m contributing.

Here’s a very easy cookie recipe just for **Ex** :

CHOCOLATE CHUNK CHOCOLATE COOKIES

1 18 1/4-ounce package chocolate fudge cake mix
10 ounces semisweet chocolate, broken into small chunks
2 5 1/8-ounce packages chocolate fudge pudding mix
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise

Preheat oven 350°F. Combine first 4 ingredients in medium bowl. Mix in mayonnaise. Shape dough by 2 tablespoons into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake until tester inserted in centers comes out clean, about 12 minutes. Cool. (Can be prepared 2 days ahead. Store in airtight container.)

Makes about 48.

If your dough is too dry, add an egg. That’s what we did when we tried this recipe.

My recipe for chocolate chip cookies comes off the back of a bag of Nestle’s Semisweet morsels, but I modify it in the following manner:

Cut the amount of white sugar in half
Double the amount of brown sugar (you should still have the same number of cups of total sugar as the original recipe)
Double the indicated vanilla

I goofed one time by mixing up the recipes, and liked my error much better.

**’Zine** , I hate to tell ya, Bud, but tain’t such a thing as a low-carb chocolate chip cookie. Unfortunately, I gotta make a bazillion cookies and a matching amount of fudge this weekend. I’d better stock up on insulin tonight…

Congrats you two crazy lovebirds! If you’re talking about the Outback I think you are then I used to eat there all the time with my crazy friend who insists on only eating at National Chain restaurants. He was all about the consistency. And at the time that was the closest Outback, although there must be one closer to downtown Bawlmer these days.
