[Eve’s mother](http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/mainlinemedianews/obituary.aspx?n=eleanore-golden&pid=138510109). Eve had spoken numerous times about her mother’s failing health, but apparently she was tough. I had the privilege of meeting her in 2003 (I think) when she and Eve paid a visit to Charleston, SC. She seemed like quite a gal, then, and reading the obit pretty much confirms it. She had a funny story about scolding one of the school’s star basketball players, but I wish I could remember the details. That star basketball player was Kobe Bryant. . . I was the only person at the table of six who had never heard of him. ---

I’m sorry to hear that. Although from what I remember of **Eve** ’s posts about it, her last years were rough ones. For that matter I can’t believe how long it’s been since we’ve seen **Eve**. ---

Maybe you could have the thread title changed to say News about Eve or something…I only clicked on this by accident, but I’m always eager for news about Eve, even if it is sad. ---

I gave Eve a ride to a dopefest a few years back and I remember talking with her about her Mother. My thoughts and sympathies are with her. ---

Would appreciate it if someone who keeps in touch with Eve assures her that we think of her often, and wish her the best. Becoming an orphan sucks, no matter what point in your life it occurs. ---

My sympathies to Eve. I truly mean no offense, for even though it has been 2 months and her mother’s final years were rough I know she is grieving (for regardless of how sick and unlike themself a person gets the knowledge they’re not there is jarring), but I am also glad she and her mother have both finally been released from such a terrible situation and her life is now her own again. ---
