Be sure to check out the online “Producer’s Cut” on [NBC.com](http://NBC.com). Quite a few extra scenes, a few alternate talking head segments, funny subplots with Meredith and Creed (there’s a reason he’s buying the shots!) and a little more Pam character development.

On the home page, click Video, then load Video Player, then The Office, then Episodes. IIRC.

Or just click [this](http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/).

Loved the preview of next week’s show where Michael says to her “Wow, you’re kinda exotic looking. Was your Dad a G.I.?”

Bwhaaaa… too much!
That line had me frickin’ rolling. EXACTLY the sort of observation Michael would make on an employees first day in a new office!

One of the few flaws of the show is that all the employees seem incredibly put off by Michael’s shenanigans.
Do you think it’s because he’s so needy? Give Michael a bit of positive feedback, and he’s like the puppy that follows you home. Except having a puppy would be less strain than being Michael’s friend.

I don’t get his relationship with Dwight. Dwight sucks up to him and Michael pushes him aside. Why is that? Analyze, please!

Michael used to trust Dwight somewhat, but since he went behind Michael’s back in a failed coup attempt, Michael has been keeping him at arm’s length.

When was this? I missed about four episodes at the beginning of the season…

Because Dwight is creepy and unlikable. What is the point of having an unpopular person suck up to you?

That (and the coup attempt **D\_Odds** mentioned) makes sense.

Michael doesn’t like himself, so he’s wary of anyone who likes him.

**drm** , if I remember right, Michael tricked Dwight into thinking that Dwight was going to be made manager, and that Michael would be under him. Dwight faked about two seconds of so-sorry and then set about gleefully taking over.

You can see her thinking, Yeah, Jim’s cute and all, but what have I gotten myself into? When she could have gotten a job in the city.
