One more time with feeling, those ACLU video’s are GARBAGE!, they will only get you hassled and detained, they are great (in theory) but in the real world those video’s mean NOTHING!!
I know my rights
On the side of the road:
I have the right to shut-up
I have the right to bleed
I have the right to answer questions
In a Courtroom:
I have the right to a Lawyer
The side of the road and a Courtroom are 2 ENTIRELY different situations, here is how I deal with the side of the road:
Officer Friendly: "I need to see some I.D.
Unclviny: (produces I.D. and hands it to O.F.) “here you are Sir”
O.F.: “blah, blah, blah”
U.V.: “blah, blah, blah” until I get tired of this game, then it becomes “Do I have the right to remain silent?”
O.F.: “Yes, you do” or “You are not under arrest”
U.V.: “Unclviny, 123 Abc street, Anytown U.S.A, state Drivers License #12345678910” (this is the ONLY response that he gets until I get a Lawyer or I’m allowed to walk away).
