Democrats are probably going to win the popular vote and lose the electoral college AGAIN. Screw this stupid, convoluted system; screw the fact that a Wyoming citizen is somehow more valuable than a Cali citizen; screw the fact that we’re going to have to see Trump’s obese face giving neanderthal speeches for 4 fucking years. Thanks, Obama! And I mean that sincerely. Gonna miss ya. ---

There’s been a lot of talk this evening about financial markets being down precipitously tonight. But is that really due to “Donald Trump looks like he’s going to win”? Or is it more a case of “What we all thought was going to happen, looks like it’s not happening”? If there is one thing that the financial markets don’t like, it’s uncertainty. And with everyone so certain that they knew what was going to happen, and with it looking more and more like they were all very much incorrect, does the reaction really have that much to do with the actual result, or just the fact that the predictions were wrong…regardless of who wins in the end? ---

Actually at this stage I’m hoping that Trump really is a Russian puppet. The world is probably in better shape that way than if dangerously unpredictable Trump is actually the POTUS. Sure it will probably lead to the breakup of the EU and the collapse of NATO, just a few little things, but Russia doesn’t want a Nuclear war, thats bad for business. ---

Maybe _you’re_ not brainwashed, but I have to take a long, hard look at the evangelicals, the Mormons - all the groups with a strong majority consciously voting against the values they supposedly care so much about and want to build US law around.
